Restaurant Closed Down

This afternoon, i had lunch with my old classmates, Alice, Siew Yieng & others at AFTER THREE in Kuching City Centre. Good location, with spacious dining area, air-con, and the Food ........(>.<) ...

To be honest, their food is not superb nice, but is superb bad neither ... I had Laksa .. cost me RM 5.00 with 4 prawns which is not bad !! Alice & Siew yieng had Fish Head Curry with no milk costs RM 6.00 each !! Actually AFTER THREE is one of the popular dining place in Kuching. They do have their strategy to attract customers !! Maybe their ambiance is one of the critical factors.

Actually, Kuching could be considered as one of the Food paradise, with so many variety choices of foods, ranging from Hawker, Middle class Cafe, High class fine dining restaurant, even 5 star hotel delicacies !! most of those who stays in Kuching will know, there are so many cafes, restaurants, pub opened each month ... there are so many closed down each month too !!

Open a new restaurant needs $$ , RM 200,000 plus plus of renovation fee is become a typical things ! after renovated, design of menu to attract the customers ... but most of the time, a restaurant with costly renovation comes with a expensive food. When the food is expensive together with nothing really make to think of their food .. soon and later the restaurant will close down !

i wonder do these restaurant owners did any "Strategy Planning" ?? Planning on promotion strategy ? Food strategy? price strategy ? or are they just simply TRYING ??

There is so many times, when i passed a newly opened restaurant, i was thinking ... when are they going to close down ??? I can't even remember the restaurant name !!

Restaurant open & close down just like children playing game. For me, it is wasting money & energy !!
